Kirbyville celebrates 75 Years in style

KIRBYVILLE — Kirbyville celebrated a milestone in Wildcat history with its 75th anniversary homecoming parade, drawing a large crowd and filling the community with school spirit. Students, alumni, families and local residents lined the parade route as Kirbyville High School marked three-quarters of a century of homecoming tradition. The parade brought together generations of Wildcats and served as one of the centerpiece events of the anniversary celebration. Floats, school organizations, athletes and community participants made their way through town as supporters gathered to cheer them on. Among those participating were Jasper County Sheriff Chuck Havard, the 2026 Miss Kirbyville titleholders and members of the Kirbyville High School homecoming court. The presence of community leaders and local pageant representatives added to an event designed to celebrate both the school and the town surrounding it. The homecoming court also took its place in the parade, giving the community an opportunity to recognize the students representing Kirbyville during the milestone homecoming celebration. Kirbyville Wildcat Athletics described the parade as having a strong turnout and called it a great day to be a Wildcat.
